About

I am a New York State licensed professional engineer with nearly 40 years of experience in forensic analysis of industrial equipment, database design and management, cost estimating, scheduling, chemical engineering, and material science. I hold ASHRAE certifications for High-Performance Building Design Professional (HBDP) and LEED AP certified.

Prior to forming Lattanzio Engineering Services, PLLC,  I applied my education and experience to forensic analysis of failures and defects of building systems and industrial processes and equipment, and design of corrective measures and remediation needed to return systems, buildings, processes and equipment to a functional state. I manage the New York office for Morse Associates, coordinating field projects and participating on research projects. I coordinate activities of associates and outside contractors and interfaces with clients throughout a project’s duration.

Before that, I held the position of Senior Project Engineer for Besicorp Development, LLC. As Senior Project Engineer for Besicorp, I was assisted with the technical aspects of the development of the Besicorp-Empire power and newsprint projects. I was the lead engineer on the development of a proposed newsprint facility. I was also involved in all technical aspects of permitting activities; document preparation; directing and monitoring Owner’s Engineering firms project schedules and supporting oversight and monitoring of third party Brownfield site remediation. I also was the technical lead to secure Department of Army Corp of Engineer permits and the project related insurance policies.

Previously, I held the position of Contract Engineer for General Electric where he facilitated Process Hazard Analysis reviews of chemical manufacturing processes using HAZOP & Structured What-If methodologies. I provided engineering assistance on several projects. I also performed facility-siting analyses of occupied buildings adjacent to chemical manufacturing processes, which included enhancing and streamlining GE’s existing procedures.

I have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Michigan State University where I majored in Chemical Engineering.
